My name is Mitchell Wolfe and I am a screen production student, as part of my directors module I need to direct a simple scene between a mother and a son. I was wondering if any of your students would be interested, it will only take about 2 hours and will more than likely be shot on campus. It will be really fun and relaxed, the age of the actor is not really too important. the actors are more than welcome to a copy, too add to their portfolio. The scene is taken out of a feature film which is to be directed my Murdoch's very own Jeff Asselin.

I wanted to wait until the Thursday group had presented their work before reflecting on the dialogue presentations. The thing that was most encouraging was the way many of the unit's theories were invested in your practice. You are all to be congratulated. People's preparedness to be adventurous was equally impressive.



I have to say, Courtney's performance has now become part of Murdoch's theatre mythology (this group's reading/setting of the text was astonishing)...AND I'm still recovering from Nik and Emily's work...so sensuously charged and controlled...wonderful!



There is so much I could say about everyone's work, but I'm just letting moments come back to me, as I wing me way to Melbourne...the Beckett piece was surreal (I've never seen it acted like that...so pared back and alarmingly vicious).



Those wacky murderers!...intelligent, great timing and expressive work.

Both Virginia Woolf pieces were disturbing...I wanted them to be longer...I'll try and find a longer extract for next time.



And just who is the real inspector...in all that madness, I still see Phoenix's demure face...great control! Big up for Aaron's mum!



The contrast between Jade and Sarah characters in Proof was excruciatingly funny ... and equally sad. Such precise simplicity...I was in the cab with them.



I don't know where Sarah found her accent in Amy's View...I had not heard it before...a very enjoyable piece.



I loved the different ways The Breakfast Club was imagined...I'll never forget Faye's face as she turn to the audience...and with that haunting sound...said it all.



People's work on the Closer script was equally impressive...it would have been wonderful to be able to redo them with different pairings...the different readings would be amazing...especially given the strength of all the performers.

Tom and Nicola's setting added so much to their piece (and despite what Tom says, it was not my idea it was theirs!)



The strength and power of Alexandra's [sorry mate] work was a pleasure to watch...good things to come I suspect.



Nelson ...what can I say...he keeps appearing in shows!!...and never stops surprising me...Emma and his work was some of the best I've seen in years...precise and beautifully crafted...stunning work. I like the fact that Nelson played the female role in last year's class.



OK...I speak here only for my two groups: my main concern was that quite a few people lacked projection...not all but enough for us to return to weekly vocal work...what!!!...?



Stay safe...and see you after the break. Grades should be up before our next class...it's not going to be easy.

Oh...one other thing...I"ll never be able to look at Kafka's Dick in the same way again!!
